The 2 Pillars of GIP

Perseverance & Presence — the philosophy at the heart of the camp.

The greatest achievement is not the perseverance to accomplish, but the perseverance to be present.

Every camp we run is built on a single idea: that greatness is not found in the trophy, the scholarship, or the final score — it is found in the quality of attention you bring to the moment in front of you. Perseverance and presence are not two separate virtues. They are one practice. To persevere is to keep returning, again and again, to the present — the next drill, the next pass, the next decision — with full focus and an open mind.

We teach young athletes that the mind wanders toward fear, comparison, and ego, and that the discipline of sport is really the discipline of bringing it back. The player who can stay calm and fully engaged when the game speeds up is the player who grows. Talent opens a door; presence is what walks you through it, day after day, long after the applause fades.

Pillar I

Perseverance

The willingness to show up, fail, adjust, and return — without quitting and without losing heart. It is built one honest rep at a time, and it carries far beyond the court into education, family, and life.

Pillar II

Presence

Full, undivided attention on what is happening now. Free of ego and distraction, presence turns effort into mastery and a single afternoon of practice into lasting growth.

These two pillars are not just what we teach — they are the foundation of our founder's own journey. Throughout his professional basketball career, Thomas Bropleh discovered that his success was never simply about ability. It was about the daily commitment to keep going, and the clarity to remain present under pressure. Perseverance got him to the gym every day; presence made every moment in it count.

Genius is Perseverance.
And perseverance, fully lived, is presence.
